A Heartfelt Thank You to Pauline Vosper
Our Club Welfare Officer Steps Down After Years of Devoted Service
It is with mixed emotions that we announce Pauline Vosper will be stepping down from her role as Club Welfare Officer at Longfield Tigers FC.
Following the sad passing of her beloved husband Mike last October, Pauline has made the difficult decision to step back from her official duties — and while we completely understand, her departure marks the end of an era for our club.
For as long as anyone can remember, Pauline and Mike were a team. Where Mike was, Pauline was never far behind — and together, they gave more to Longfield Tigers than words can truly express. While Mike kept the wheels turning as Club Secretary, Pauline was the quiet, caring presence ensuring the wellbeing of every player, parent, and coach who walked through our doors.
As Welfare Officer, Pauline took on one of the most important roles in grassroots football. She was the person families could turn to, the reassuring voice when concerns arose, and the guardian of our club’s values. Her compassion, discretion, and genuine care for others made Longfield Tigers a safer, more welcoming place for everyone.
But Pauline’s contribution went far beyond her official title. She was Mike’s right-hand woman in every sense — supporting him through countless seasons, endless admin, and the everyday challenges of running a grassroots club. The Vospers didn’t just volunteer for Longfield Tigers; they wove it into the fabric of their lives.
We know that stepping away won’t be easy for Pauline. This club held so many memories for her and Mike, and we hope she knows that she will always be part of the Tigers family. Our doors — and our hearts — remain open to her, always.
From everyone at Longfield Tigers FC, thank you, Pauline. Thank you for your kindness, your dedication, and for standing beside Mike as together you helped build something truly special. The legacy you both leave behind will continue to shape this club for generations to come.
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.
