Longfield Tigers FC Golf Day 2026 – Another Incredible Success!
Our annual Longfield Tigers FC Golf Day returned to Chelsfield Lakes once again in 2026 – and what a fantastic day it turned out to be! ☀️
With over 90 players and supporters attending, the event was once again brilliantly supported by the Tigers community and local businesses, helping raise an incredible £6,000+ for the club.
From the early morning bacon rolls and coffees through to the final putt and evening prize giving, the atmosphere throughout the day was absolutely superb. The weather certainly played its part too, with sunshine from start to finish making it a perfect day for golf, fundraising, and catching up with friends old and new.
Players took part in the ever-popular 18-hole Stapleford competition, along with nearest-the-pin and longest-drive challenges, before everyone enjoyed a meal and prize presentation hosted by Club Chairman Ian Brown.
Of course, no Tigers Golf Day would be complete without a few suspected “bandits” appearing on the leaderboard… 👀🏌️♂️ although we’ll leave the handicap investigations for another year!
The famous Tigers token challenge also returned, adding plenty of laughs (and a few penalty payments!) throughout the round as players desperately tried to avoid finishing with tokens for bunker visits, lost balls, and dreaded three-putts.
Most importantly, the day raised a fantastic amount for Longfield Tigers FC. As a self-funded grassroots club, events like this are absolutely vital in helping us cover the ongoing costs of pitches, equipment, kits, facilities, and referee fees throughout the season.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, helped organise the day, and supported the event in any way. These events simply would not be possible without the incredible support of our Tigers community.
We’d also like to thank Chelsfield Lakes Golf Centre once again for hosting another brilliant day.
Already looking forward to next year! 🐯⛳💚
